Baby binkys, finished lines and girlfriends

When our children were infants, we offered them a binky.  Of their own volition, they rejected the object.  One sucked his thumb, the other never wanted for any oral satisfaction ... UNTIL NOW.  We won't let her have a real binky, but she was given a baby (doll) and with that baby came an object resembling a binky.  Right now, it's sitting atop a bookshelf (the very bookshelf in this photograph).  Why?  Well, if it wasn't on the bookshelf, it would be in her mouth ... Which, I guess isn't a bad thing, but we're not supposed to let our two year old have something like that because "experts" say two year olds shouldn't ... she's two and not a infant ..

Tonight, one of our children finished the other's sentence ... It went something like:

B:  "What the ..."
Little Miss:  "Heck!"

Okay, okay ... so maybe you HAD to be there.  BUT, it was funny ... or would have been ... if you were there ...

Finally, meet my girlfriend:

Little Miss and I were sitting on the couch, watching a movie.  As we were sitting there, she turned to me and said:

"Mom, you're my gurlfend."
Me:  "Yeah, we're gurlfends."

After hearing this, B said:  "Mom, we're not allowed to have a girlfriend until we're in college."

Thanks B.

  2. Good luck keeping the girls away from B until he's in college. He is too nice, handsome, and funny. It will never happen. You can quote me on that.
I'm glad little miss likes cheese balls. Maybe you could put veggies in a great big container like that and she'd like them too. :) Good luck with that too. ha!
