We danced the night away

We don't remember the last time we danced together.  We believe it was when the Mister's 2nd brother was married.  Whatever the case, tonight, we danced.  My favorite part was how each time we slow danced (me holding onto his hand, while his other hand was at the small of my back), we would talk.  Just talk.  No distractions.  Just nice music and conversation.  Can a girl ask for more than that?

I think the evening started a little awkwardly.  We really haven't done anything like this in years.  Still, as we warmed up, the evening turned out perfectly.  You should try it sometime.  Turn on some nice music or go someplace where you can slow dance.  AND, as you dance, talk.  I think we'll have to dance more often.

During a dance break, we took time to take pictures in the booth ... Here's our attempt to impersonate the famous artists, Diego and Frida:

Here's another image where we're being ourselves.  (I just love looking at my Mr.  He's so handsome.  Seriously, how lucky am I?)

Better Together

Last year, to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary, I made a slideshow set to the tune of "1,2,3,4, I Love You".  This year, I did the same thing, but the music I chose was "Better Together", by Jack Johnson.  Considering our house looked like this:

And our dinner consisted of having a picnic on the living room floor:

We proved that through it all, we really are Better Together.

We even found the perfect wrapping paper!

Happy 9th Anniversary, my Mr. and my best friend.

If I had $100

I would buy this giant red chair from Sams Club:

Can you imagine owning a chair large enough that the feet of a 6'6" man won't reach the floor?  Sure it's impractical (really, 6 cup holders?), but consider the conversations that would inevitably ensue!  We could set it up at soccer games and wait for the remarks (and hold everyone's drinks!).

Maybe we could justify it as an investment in entertainment.  We're trying to find a way to make it a necessity ... for now, we'll just keep going to Sam's Club to experience the beauty and monstrosity that is this chair.  And that's the truth.
