Yesterday, we went to the Farmers Market. We noticed an Amish lady selling baked goods. She was selling them out of her van - an Astro Van (like the one pictured above - without the roof rack). Apparently, the Amish in Kansas aren't as anti technology as their Pennsylvania kin.The Mrs. was disappointed: "Where's her buggy? She's supposed to have a buggy?"... The Mr. observed that the situation presented a sad commentary on the technology of the 80's ... Maybe she was an Amish wannabe? Maybe she isn't Amish and just really likes to dress like one? ... What do you think?
I say she's an amish wannabe. What kind of Amish person doesn't drive a buggy?
