I love to laugh and this picture is an example of what can make me laugh. (As a woman I should probably say, "That's appalling!!")

Ahh, Comet ... nothing else gets my tub and sinks so clean. To me, this is the smell of clean and my elbows appreciate its cleansing power!
Those of you who have given birth might recognize these bottles. Peri bottles ... My friend recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and we spent 1/2 an hour discussing how much we love peri bottles. Thank you, person who invented this plastic contraption, you have made my post partum experience ... better.
The sink stopper. I don't know anybody who doesn't own one. Thank you, sink stopper inventor.

Who says one vote doesn't matter? Last November, my husband and I watched as a small town elected their new mayor. His victory almost didn't happen, he won by 1 vote. 1 vote! Ezra Taft Benson said: "If we desire to be numbered among those who will "bear the Constitution away from the very verge of destruction" one of the things we must do is make our influence felt by our vote, our letters and our advice." I love this country and I'm grateful for election day.

The Topeka Public Library. It's perks include the following: No late fees, they mail books and movies to you at no cost, if there is a book or movie you want to borrow that they don't have they will acquire it at no cost (and that's only their borrowing policy, you haven't even been inside!). I have NEVER had a library experience such as this. I am grateful for the Topeka Public Library.

The Salt Lake Temple. Or as B calls it "our temple", in reference to the Mr. and myself. This is where I received my endowment. This is where my husband and I knelt at the altar and entered into our marriage covenant. Outside my home, this is my special place. I am thankful for the Temple (any LDS temple).
I love my children. You who have joined this family and have brought joy within the walls of our home. You who seek me out whenever I'm not in the same room. I am grateful for my B and Baby Girl.
I love my sweet husband. He knew I was having a hard day (his day wasn't any better) and he came home and told me to leave and enjoy myself. Thank you, my Mr., for giving me time alone. Thank you for always making me feel like the best wife and mother. Thank you for loving me ...
I feel much better. That's all. Just one question: for what are you grateful?
I'm singing "Count your many blessings" right along with ya.
ReplyDelete(Peri bottles rock.)
I'm grateful for your blog. truly. you remind me of some of MY OWN blessings. and you TOTALLY make me laugh!! ...peri bottles ARE awesome!
ReplyDeleteAmor, what a great post!!! Way to look at the blessings after a rough day. :)
ReplyDeleteThis might sound cheesy, but I am so ridiculously and overwhelmingly grateful for blogs and Facebook, because they've enabled me to have this constant connection with friends far and near! I love being able to keep up with friends old and new - but especially with my La Crescenta girls. There's something so special about seeing how we've all gone our different ways but have grown strong in our faith and growing families. You're amazing! :)
LOL- Peri bottles. I LOVE them.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I'm thankful for nap time on days like that. I can get Daniel to fall asleep in his swing and then I lay down on the couch or sit in front of the computer reading blogs and eating cookies- lots of cookies :)
That's a wonderful way to be happy - count your blessings :) And yes, I'm indeed grateful for the peri bottle as well...ha! :)
ReplyDeleteI love comet too, it makes my sink shiny. And, we totally use our peri bottle for tub time with Noah. He loves it!
ReplyDeleteOh...I have a little "award" for you on my blog. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this post.
ReplyDeleteTodd and I giggled at the underwear picture!
