Yesterday at the La Brea Tar Pits the high was a balmy 59°.
Before we left, we stopped by the gift shop. While waiting to checkout, I overheard:
Store Clerk: "It's freezing out there, you really have to bundle up."
Patron: "Yeah, that's why I'm wearing my coat."
Yes, yes, I know: Californians can be such wimps. I was almost embarrassed.
Maybe I should have shown the pictures of the flowers and blossoms I had taken minutes earlier:
Hey, it's all relative! LoL, I have to admit that yesterday I was a little regretful that I didn't have a coat, because to me, it did feel cold - but that's what happens when the norm is in the mid-70s. By the end of my Utah trip in December, I'd acclimated and was fine in shirtsleeves in sub-40s.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm officially jealous of your new camera. And I'm sorry to say that my only comment is... you suck! I love the shallow depth of field you used, especially in the photo of the pink never bloomed blossom. NICE!!!
ReplyDeleteI always think this is funny. Last week Michigan and California hit the same temperature, somewhere in the high 50s. My parents were bundling up and turning up the heat, and I was taking off my winter coat and walking my dog in short sleeves!
ReplyDeleteThose people have obviously never been to Kansas. I didn't know cold until I got here.
