On Friday night, we watched our children run around the playground behind our townhome.
We watched them swing. I learned that B knew how to swing and jump from a swinging swing. The Mr. learned that Little Miss could sit in a big kid swing by herself ... When did these things happen? Who gave these kids permission to grow up??
B saw some friends and went to play with them. So the Mr. and I were left to watch Little Miss ...
She played and I took pictures. It won't be long before she decides it's inappropriate to wear backwards pants, a backwards shirt and butterfly wings in public. At least that's what I've been told ...
We let them play until dusk ...
On Saturday, we watched B run around the soccer field.
He ran hard and played hard.
This season, B has amazed us. He's playing better than before!
In large part, we think it's his coach. Coach Shawn is always so encouraging. He tells his players what he saw them do that was good and B just eats it up. He cheers them on and is excited for them when they play hard. See the smile on B's face in the image below? That smile was directed toward Coach Shawn ... Coach Shawn had just finished telling B he was doing a good job. He says that to all the players throughout the game. Encouragement goes a long way ...

I LOVE B's new do (well, new to me at least). It makes him look so much older.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I'm sad - I caught a glimpse of our old home...
